We are always faced with two choices in life to either spend our days enjoying ourselves or sacrifice the fun for a tomorrow that is better. Most people like me love to live in the moment but the older you get the more you realize that if you don't plan for your future you won't be able to achieve your goals. For example, you have a whole week ahead of you how do you plan on spending your days, will you wake up each day with a purpose or just go with the flow, whatever works for you best as everyone is different. But I found that a plan not only organizes you, it also helps you to remain focussed. If I know what my week looks like I won't waste my time on things that don't matter and when I get distracted I will remember my list of activities. Versus when I have a free week I will do whatever springs inside my head at that time and won't mind because I have no plan. "Even a fool with a plan can beat a smart person who doesn't plan."
After planning you realize that there are some things you have to sacrifice to do the priorities on your list. You can't do everything in a day so some of the leisure activities will be sacrificed for you to achieve your goals. Besides life can't be all play, as there is time for everything. The things you sacrifice can be big or small from watching a series episode to eating junk depending on your goal. So in a sense sacrifice is a means to an end in our daily lives. If you aren't willing to sacrifice some things you want now you will never get the things you want in the future.
Sacrifice includes doing things even on days you don't feel like it. It means getting up, dressing up, and doing what you have to. No excuses and not doing things only when you want to, as your goals need to be accomplished. Not to rush you or anything but, " the problem is we think we have time," that is not true as we are only as young as we are today. Life won't wait for you to feel like you want to work, the world won't stop as time flies. Opportunities only come once so when they do take advantage and learn along the way, "do what you have to until you can do what you want to, "Oprah. Every moment you let pass you by is wasted therefore you need to get going.
