The ministry of Deliverance has always been a mystery to many people because it’s fairly new.
The word of God says in John6:63 that the word of God is spirit and life that when received has the power to transform someone. That is what deliverance is transforming someone using the word of God and freeing them from the burdens which the world has placed on them. Life is spiritual and what is inside of a person determines the kind of life they live, Jesus has the ability through the holy spirit to transform a person’s inside and give them a new life.
We all come from a lineage and a family, and we carry traits of those who preceded us and also their spirits, gifts, and curses. Regardless of how unique you are, you are a continuation of an ancestral line and you will likely experience similar situations with those who preceded you. I am not saying that you cannot be the first to be triumphant, because everyone has endless potential but spiritual obstacles that frustrate a person, delay them and eventually destroy them are rooted in where we come from. Hence Jesus spoke in Mathew 10:36 that a man’s foes will be those of his household. Deliverance separates you from where you come from and sets you free from those spiritual obstacles that affect your family and you become a partaker of Jesus Christ.
The other cause of spiritual obstacles is our actions, when we rebel against the word of God and break the ten commandments Deuteronomy 5:6-21 we create obstacles in our path. When we create these obstacles, we cannot save ourselves and only an anointed man of God can perform deliverance. This will cleanse us from our sins so that we may receive the kingdom of God. Deliverance is a process and first, you have to repent your sins, with the anointed priest who can make atonement for your sins before the Lord and then you get delivered. Which is being separated from your sins and the claims that the life of the past has over you, cleansing of your spirit through the blood of Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross He brought salvation by being the sacrifice that allowed everyone who accepts the word of God to be saved through the blood of Jesus, Romans 8:1-2.
Deliverance manifests itself through your spirit because God is a spirit then physically through changed behavior. When the evil spirit which causes a person to sin is removed, they are reformed and no longer slaves of their passions but receive the gift of self-control. God created us with the willpower of the mind which allows us to choose the life we want to live but when we sin we become enslaved to our flesh which dictates how we are Ephesians 2:1-10. Once you get deliverance you are required to study the word of God and practice the word so that you may not fall back into your old sinful ways Mathew 12:43-45. You have to pay close attention to your spiritual life so that you grow because the life of salvation has a lot of challenges and you need God to strengthen you and to fight your battles.
You would know that you need deliverance if you have bad and strange dreams, such as performing sexual acts with others, eating with those who are dead, and being chased around. If you are not progressing in your life and experience sickness, stagnation, failure, and backwardness. If you are living a sinful life despite your attempts to change and if you feel like the life you are living is not yours and are ready to give your life to Jesus.
I have gotten deliverance from my sins and received God's peace, and would like to encourage anyone unhappy with the life they are living that there is a God in heaven. Regardless of what you have done Jesus Christ loves you and is willing to accept you and cleanse your spirit. If you trust in the Lord, you will be saved and with the help of an anointed priest, you can be delivered from your sins. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and if you believe in Him you will be saved Acts 16:31.
