Trapped

The things we think but dont say

As soon as the illusion stopped,

the truth sinked in, dropped,

it was clear as daylight,

that this was a trap.

You see it didn't begin this way,

It was all calm and gray,

until the very day,

she decided to betray,

her intuition and go astray.

By letting the crowd sway,

her beliefs and opinions ,

she gave up her power ,

and this derailed,

every plan she had made.

She had signed up for this programme,

given up her time and life,

just to be part of something great,

and ended up becoming a slave in a foreign country.

An idea of a life of luxury,

as a young maid,

was the deluded tale,

that was sold to her,

which ended up being misery,

To her God she prayed,

for her freedom and wailed,

as she remembered,

everything she left,

in the search of wealth.
