The Green Vase

From the outside it looks green,
Fragile as its made of glass,
But in the insides its made of brass,
which makes it hard to break.
It carries all beautiful flowers,
and nobody notices it,
until the flowers die,
that's when it gets cleaned,
People judge the vase,
based on the flowers it has,
and not on its lovely qualities,
without the flowers it is irrelevant.
But they all wither
and it still remains resilient,
and with a good wash shines,
not even a crack on its walls.
In a world of vanities,
where we only see the outside,
its our insides that matter the most,
those 'vases' hold us together even as our 'flower' withers.
