Pull one over you

In the city of Nairobi,

you will always be gullible,

to a hoax here and there,

by swindlers who dont care,

about anyone but their schemes.

They come in all forms,

found on every media platform,

even the streets are their norms,

with their sweet charms,

and impeccable persuasion skills they draw you in.

Trying to pull one over you,

by giving you false hopes,

with a silver tongue,

targeting those who are young,

leaving them high and dry.

So beware of those,

strangers who are too friendly ofcourse,

and those deals that seem too good to be true,

because they get people who are desperate,

since their senses are off and they can be easily conned.

Others camouflage as teachers or mentors,

who are trying to help you get your due,

with shortcuts tight as a rope,

which often lead to being trapped,

in lies that cost you more.

And those identity thieves,

whose aim is to deceive,

you into believing,

that they are heaven sent,

to gain full access into your pockets.

But what happens when they dont succeed?

their moods change and true motives show,

as they threaten you with violence,

trying to shake you up using fear,

because swindlers don't like to get caught.
