Nothing is ever what we expect

They say still waters run deep,

then why can't i ever seem,

to understand why you felt the need,

to walk away from me.

I let you sleep on me,

coz i though you were for keeps,

and of my feet i was swiped,

with the lies you heaped on me.

You made me believe,

and i took a leap,

of faith just for you to keep,

stalking me like a creep.

As i stand by your grave side,

i know understand why we couldn't be,

for you only reaped, what you sowed,

which was nothing but pride,

which comes before a fall.
