It wasn't my secret to tell,
but when that liquor kicked in,
i couldn't chill,
so my words begun to spill.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but when you gave me that look,
it caught me like a hook,
catches a baited fish.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but that mystery was too intriguing,
so i said something revealing,
to clear the air.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but it wasn't mine to keep either,
as the tea was too juicy to be quiet,
so i allowed myself to gossip.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but my conscience was haunted,
by the truth,
so i let the cat out of the bag.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but you knew very well,
i was a blabbermouth,
so why did you tell it to me.
It wasn't my secret to tell,
but i had nothing else to say,
and it seemed more interesting than lies,
so i caved in to fit in.
