Scourge of the naive

Everyone's safety is important regardless of their gender or race

Abuse begins with you,

how you treat yourself , and others

the way you react to those who have been bruised,

by judging, isolating and removing ourselves,

when we realize they are just like us imperfect,

Love is no longer mutual ,

it's committing one's life to the other,

as chains entrap our souls together,

and demons corrupt our minds,

influencing us to kill the ones' we love.

Kindness is a weakness,

and innocence is seen as opportunity,

to corrupt a young mind with lies,

through manipulation of their will,

you eventually get them to do your bidding.

Laws must be followed,

even those traditional and outgrown,

so into the marriage your thrown,

without your consent your forced,

to play a part so grown, that you don't know

Your race could get you caught,

colorism at its best, being different is a threat

the first suspect when things go wrong,

and always a target, even when you're right,

you have to be careful lest you get arrested or shot.

Manipulation of the society,

to accept changes that never lead to a great deal,

Following rulers who know how to make deals,

until they sell our lives out from underneath,

our eyes as we focus on being divided as a community.

Cars, money and the fast life,

getting everything you seek,

without lifting a finger (unless its to eat)

the fruits you never worked for,

forgetting that easy come,easy go

Religion has become a lie,

people doing it for the money,

and abusing the power of spirituality.

even children can't be safe from crime,

besides it comes from inside (those you trusted with your lives)

Battery and violence,

are on the other hand of promises,

that some people hold sacred,

while other use to deceive,

and prey on their victims,

who think they are in love but end up dead

Look at the world around us, (even in the simple ways)

we try to imprison each other,

through our formulated devices,

treating our lives as games.

acting like there is only one way of life.
