Nostalgia

Events that i would relieve in a heartbeat

This weather got me thinking,

of how it was at the beginning,

it was fresh and interesting,

moments of bliss and partying.

The smokes we lit up,

every morning when we got up,

Wishing it would never end,

but how wrong were we.

Playing with myself,

will never be as good,

as the games we played,

in our penthouse up in the sky.

But as time passed by,

the fire that kept us warm,

lost its spark as the bills pilled,

So we gave up our lifestyle.

Even as our lives kept spinning,

we tried not to lose ourselves.

and our lives kept changing,

so we lost each other in the process.

I guess the end justifies the means,

since we are no longer teens,

and the past is the just a dream,

as we all chose different streams.

Our hearts are beating,

but not to the same rhythm,

anymore so i keep listening,

to this nostalgic song.
