Sometimes you win sometimes you learn

this is how life is

when we are faced with challenges

we use our defences until we can’t anymore

i could be running away from you

just to realise am running from myself

my judgement could be clouded

but i am not deluded

Anyway time will tell

what happens between us

how i wish i had control

of how everything goes

i feel the need to let go

still i find myself holding on

to what was or could’ve been

and dreaming of us together

it’s a choice that i must make

no matter what it takes

it’s time to move on

and accept the truth
