It's hard growing up in this age,
where social media defines beauty,
and the pressure to be perfect is real,
with the models who are so ideal.
From waist snatchers to corsets,
we all try to conceal our flaws,
to project this image on the surface,
of sex appeal without trying.
There are more pills,
to help people slim,
than pills to help with anxiety,
that is caused by the pressure of the media.
With an obsession of being curvy,
and thick in all the right places,
body enhancing has become more common,
to create the ideal figure, voluptuous and hot.
Photoshop for the gram,
will get you more likes,
but how do you feel on the inside,
when you look in the mirror.
The muscles you build,
might make your self-esteem high,
but won't help you when your lonely,
and can't solve any of your problems.
You were created wholly,
to be more than just a body,
so don't let the world define your worthiness,
with standards that are unattainable.
Besides imperfection is beauty,
and our flaws make us human,
with every unique feature you have,
loving yourself as you are is the key, (to happiness)
